I watched from across the room as the ultrasound tech scanned my cat’s belly. The room was my kitchen, the cat lying sedated in my kitchen table.
I kept waiting for him to announce, there it is. But he never did.
Instead, he said, “it’s not innocent, but it’s not 100% cancer today.”
Today, it’s pancreatitis. And we wait. There wasn’t a lump. There are enlarged lymph nodes. In two months, we check again.
I’m ever so grateful for mobile technologies. It’s amazing what can happen at your kitchen table & how it can change your day.
